The Poetry of Names
in the world of Colazio, names are never chosen at random. They are not mere labels, but vessels of meaning — echoes of places, forms, and emotions that inspire us. Each carries with it a fragment of a story, a glimpse into the philosophy we call The Art of Time.
SALA — The Cinema of Time
Some creations seem to name themselves. When the final form of Sala emerged, it evoked a vivid memory: the vast cinema hall of Hotel Thermal in Karlovy Vary, where the city gathers each year for its international film festival. The hall is more than a room — it is a stage for stories, for moments suspended in time, for light and silence interwoven.
The Italian word Sala captured this essence perfectly. It became not just a name, but a symbol — a tribute to the birthplace of Colazio, and a reminder that our creations are also screens upon which the stories of time unfold.
MIDA — The Space Between
If Sala is a hall where stories are shown, Mida is the quiet pause between them. Mida was conceived as a companion to Sala.
Its sound evokes balance, a middle ground, something in-between. Mida represents the spaces that often go unnoticed: the stillness between two breaths, the silence before applause, the fragile instant where the past and the future meet. In this sense, Mida is not only a product, but also a meditation on the very fabric of time.
BELIANO — The Guardian of Time
From architecture we move to nature. The inspiration for Beliano comes from the belionota, a beetle whose protective shell resembles a shield. Its natural armor became a metaphor for what Colazio stands for: the safeguarding of what matters most.
To wear a watch is to carry memory on your wrist; to place it within Beliano is to protect that memory. The name elevates the story further, turning a small leather pouch into a talisman of resilience and care. Beliano is the guardian, the silent protector of time itself.
FINALE — The Art of Time
Together, Sala, Mida, and Beliano form more than a collection of objects. They are a trilogy of meanings: a hall where stories unfold, a space between moments, and a shield that preserves what is precious.
This is the essence of The Art of Time — to discover inspiration in the world around us, to translate architecture, silence, and nature into design, and to remind those who hold our creations that time is not measured only in hours, but in the stories we choose to protect.
